They are easily customized to whatever you have on hand or whatever cuisine you are in the mood for. These bowls are made using homemade baked tofu and a quick and easy teriyaki recipe. Tofu can also be replaced with any vegan meat, soy curls, or tempeh. Feel free to use any steamed veggies that you prefer as well. A wonderful protein rich replacement for the rice is quinoa. - hot cooked brown rice, cauliflower (broccoli, and carrot vegetable blend, steamed), Simple Baked Tofu (Recipe, see notes below!), Teriyaki Sauce (Recipe, see notes below!), Toss baked tofu in teriyaki sauce. If you've made the tofu and/or the teriyaki ahead of time, in a medium pan bring the teriyaki sauce to a slow simmer. Toss in baked tofu cubes. Toss to coat and heat through. ; Divide rice into four bowls. Top each bowl with 1/2 cup of steamed vegetables and 1/4 of the teriyaki tofu.
